Primary Children's Hospital

Skylar is at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City.  Here are the reasons why a children's hospital is so cool:

This fun colorful horse is near the front entrance

They have cute little gnomes outside.  Blakeley said hi to him & waved back

Fun decor like this bug in the planter

There are cool mobiles like this one hanging from the ceiling

They have a big gingerbread house in a glass display

and a carnival.

And I really love the children's art that hangs on the walls everywhere.

I especially like this one:

I like it because it has such a positive message.  It says, "I can do it!  I know I can!  I can do it!  I know I can!"

So cute.

And this one was done by a 6 year old according to the painting:

Isn't that sooo good?!  Especially for a six year old!

They also have murals all over the walls & in the elevators.

Perhaps the coolest thing about the hospital is that there are wagons to transport the kids through the hospital.  Including siblings!  So when we take Blakeley to visit Skylar, we pull her around in a wagon.  How cool is that?

They also have a playroom for patients and siblings, toys & books that you can borrow & take to your room & they gave us a free book of my choice.  (I picked Where the Wild Things Are since we don't have that one yet.)

I must say, if you have a kid in the hospital, it's great to be at a children's hospital!

Skylar Update:  She's doing great.  She seemed way more like herself today & was even smiling a little bit.  I can't wait till she's all better.  I've really been missing her smile.
