Road Trip to Utah

We started our drive to Utah this past Sunday to go to Ty's family reunion.  It took us two days to get there (I think 26 hours).  Skylar started throwing up about 8 hours into the trip & continued to throw up after every feeding the entire trip.  That was hard to deal with but Tyson & I worked well as a team to get through it.  We bought a portable DVD player before we left to entertain Blakeley & it worked!  Despite Skylar throwing up, both girls did pretty good.  Here are some cool things we saw & did during the road trip.

We saw some cool houses when we drove through New Mexico. I've never seen anything like it. And all the yards had rocks instead of grass. Not my ideal yard but interesting.

We stopped by the Four Corners monument on the way here. It's the exact spot where Utah, Colorado, Arizona, & New Mexico meet.

We saw an alien hideout in the middle of nowhere while driving through Utah. It had a little opening that looked like a door and everything. Just kidding. We saw beautiful scenery! My friend told me that this is called Church Rock. She has hiked out to it a few times and it's 20 miles from where she lived in Blanding, Utah. She said the little opening that looks like a door goes in about 8 feet and that early pioneers blew a hole in it for shelter & that's what caused the opening. Pretty cool looking!

We stayed at a hotel between driving & Blakeley slept in the queen size bed with me.  But it was her first time on a big bed like that & she decided to jump on me for two hours before finally passing out.  She went to bed at like 6am.  It was awesome.

I was happy when we finally arrived in Utah!  Although then Skylar's throwing up took a turn for the worst...
