So although it was quite unexpected to have Skylar in the hospital during this trip, we're trying to make the best of it & still try to enjoy ourselves. The family reunion is a nice distraction. It started yesterday & ends tomorrow. We're having a good time & it's great to see everybody. It's Tyson's Mom's side of the family & it's huge. There are like 80 people that come & we stay in a huge house in Birdseye, Utah which is basically in the middle of nowhere. Most of the family lives in Utah.
(For some reason Blogger is having an issue & I couldn't rotate some of the pictures so they're sideways. It bugs me a lot that they're aren't right side up. Oh well.)
Tyson & his siblings that came (Audrey, Jared's wife, Lanie, Jared, their daughter, Rowan, Tyson, me). We missed you Chelsea & Heidi!
Blakeley in Uncle Jared's hat
Blakeley was introduced to the trampoline & she was obsessed with it.
As you can tell from this picture...she's pointing outside to the trampoline and crying because I wouldn't let her go out since it was dark and everyone was inside.
This is about half of the family...so as you can see, it's a large family!
There were crafts & games
And the kids were human bowling down the stairs. hee hee.
Landon even fell asleep on the trampoline one night.
This family reunion is no joke. They plan it out! There were the following activities:
-Family Feud
-Talent Show
-Minute to Win It
-Sack races for the kids
-Talent show
-Auctions for the adults & a separate one for the kids
-Horseshoes
-Bonchy(?) Ball
-Canoeing
-Craft (they made sand bracelets)
-Bingo
-Feeding the horses
-Trampoline/Sandbox/Playroom for the kids
We missed a lot of the daytime activities because we were going back & forth to the hospital (which was two hours away from the reunion each way) or I would have pictures of some of those games & activities.
We also laid on the trampoline the first night & star gazed & the sky was super clear. We saw some shooting stars. Can you guess what I wished for? =)
The second night we sat around the bonfire, roasted marshmallows, & told stories.
It was fun! Blakeley had a blast!
