Blakeley's First 4th of July

Isn't her face priceless?  Apparently Blakeley was amazed/flabbergasted/stunned/freaked/shocked/taken aback/surprised/dazed/astonished/startled/dumbfounded/bewildered all at the same time at her first sight of fireworks.

It was a fun day.  We went to church, took naps, and then drove to Austin where we hung out with Ty, Crystal, & Josh.  They are our good friends & they all work for Tyson's company.  Ty is one of the Directors out here.  We drove to downtown Austin and watched fireworks while sitting on a blanket on the side of a road that was blocked off.  There were tons of people.  It took us an hour to get out of the parking garage afterwards...no lie.

During most of the fireworks display, B's face looked like this:

But we did get lots of smiles the rest of the night.

Then B started to get sleepy.

She passed out within a minute after we got to the car.

She's an All American Baby.  She loves the USA!

  2. Thanks! I wish I would have started doing this before she was born! Oh well, at least she's still really little that I can do it for the rest of her life. I think the one where she first saw fireworks is hilarious!
