Wise Men Still Seek Him

The first wise men gave Christ treasures from their kingdoms.
Today's wise men give Christ the treasures of their hearts.
~Holley Gerth

This Christmas, may our joy be found
in giving our hearts to Him-- the One who gave His all to us.

This was from my friend's Christmas card & I loved the message.

I also love this video.  Check it out:

Skylar's First Word(s)

For Christmas, Skylar gave us a present a couple days early.  Today, she said "Mama" and "Dada" for the first time!  I think it's funny that she said both on the same day.  For the record, she said "Mama" first!  Thadda girl!

What Will We Give?

"Christmas Gift Suggestions : To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.

I'm grateful for adversity.  (Cringe.)

Adversity teaches us the truth about ourselves.

All I Want for Christmas is my Middle Bottom Tooth...

Love her!  She is starting to get more feisty.

Also, in big news...she's finally about to sprout a tooth.  You can see the tooth through the gums and it should appear any day now. It's a bottom middle one.

All she wants for Christmas is her middle bottom tooth...her middle bottom tooth...

Momentous Day!

This lil' bad boy got some use yesterday for the first time!  Blakeley went pee pee in the potty!!!

She is obsessed with her little potty & she always says, "I gotta go poo poo!" and she takes her diaper off.  The first time she did this I was SO excited until I realized she cried wolf and just wanted to play with the potty.  She's done that about 30 times now and never once has she actually gone potty in it...until yesterday!

In January, "Mission: Potty Training" begins!

I'm going to be brave and use a method that supposedly trains kids in three days.  You put plastic down all over the house, you are with them constantly and keep them naked.  Anytime they start going, you race them to the potty.  Sounds like it would work well!  My friend swears by it & said it worked in three days and that kid has had nearly no accidents vs. her other kids who have taken years to conquer potty accidents.

Wish me luck!

Blakeley's Shenanigans

Here are some of Blakeley's shenanigans this past week.  She is always making me laugh.  Can you tell why?

She loves to take off her diapers & throw them up in the air.  It's pretty hilarious.  Here is one that landed on her play tunnel.

In previous posts, I've shared how she is obsessed with her pacifiers and how she likes to hide them in different places.  I randomly saw this the other day.

She covered up Phoebe with her blankie...so sweet.

These are just a few highlights from this past week.
