I'm Thankful for a Prophet

Today I'm especially grateful for a modern day Prophet who leads and guides our church.  Thomas S. Monson and his counselors are so inspired!  I'm so grateful for their wise words and that I'm privileged to hear them and be uplifted and that I can use their counsel to better myself and my life.

Fast Asleep

Tyson & I always joke that Blakeley has never just konked out on the floor or couch around the house (at least since she was like 8 months old.)  She always has so much energy and is going, going, going...  Well this little darlin wasn't feeling well a couple weeks ago (on 11.2.11) and she finally fell asleep on the couch!  I had to snap a picture to remember this profound event.  Sad that she wasn't feeling so hot though.  She was acting normal except she actually laid around and was more relaxed that day. And I'm sure at one point she was dressed but if it was up to her, she'd never wear clothes.  She always takes them off. 

Bittersweet Handprint

The other day I was cleaning the glass table in the kitchen where Blakeley sits to eat & there was a perfect little hand print on it.  Part of me didn't even want to clean it because with every wipe, it made me a little sad.  It made me think about how fast time goes and how before I know it, she will be all grown up and I would probably give anything to have her little handprint on my kitchen table again.  Part of me wishes she would stay little forever but I'm excited to see what the future holds in store for her (ok...at least that's what I tell myself to cope with the fact that she's getting so big!)  Oh, my little sweet child...how I love you.
